Dud’s Erotica is dedicated to the erotic artwork of Dudley “Dud” Gifford.
Dudley Morton Gifford, “Dud”, was born October 30, 1914. He had an affinity for art from an early age and by his teens was drawing regularly. He was educated at both Colgate and Alfred University and was an accomplished artist in the realms of drawing, painting, and pottery. He was also an amazing chef, dreaming up the most decadent of desserts. In the mid-60’s he started creating erotic art. He continued composing erotica and desserts up until his death in 1997. Dud passed away peacefully; sitting in his recliner, with his feet up, reading an article on French cooking in The New Yorker magazine.
After Dud’s passing, the expansiveness of his erotic art collection became known to his children. They theorize he created erotic art for his own pleasure. The art work contained on this site was never publically displayed during Dud’s lifetime and is a small fraction of his collection.
Dud’s passion for life, endearing charm, limitless sense of humor, and attention to detail is manifested in his art. His erotic work runs the gamut from rough pencil sketches to finished paintings. There are pen and ink drawings and single panel cartoons. There are black and white drawings and full color illustrations. Come inside, look around, and stay a while...
